Brock J. Blake, Chief Executive Officer
Brock Blake is the CEO of FundingUniverse, Inc. His primary role with the company is to lead the strategy and execution of the FundingUniverse team. The company was established in 2005 to help make the angel investing and small business financing industries more efficient by increasing the amount of completed deals across the nation. Blake also co-founded KnowMarketing LLC, an online referral business network, in 2004.
Blake has received several awards of recognition on behalf of the FundingUniverse team including the #2 Startup to Watch Award from Business Q Magazine and Utah Technology Council’s 2007 Emerging Executive of the Year. At age 24, Blake was recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of the Top 40 Under 40 business professionals in Utah, and his peers selected him to vSpring Capital’s v100 list in 2006, 2008 and 2009.
Blake speaks regularly at national entrepreneur conferences and seminars, and he currently serves on several advisory boards including the Utah nonprofit organization LaunchUp, the Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum, Launch Magazine, Brigham Young University’s Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization and Weber State University’s Entrepreneurial Society. He graduated from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management in Entrepreneurial Finance and played semi-professional soccer for the BYU Cougars when they won the 1999 Collegiate Club National Championship. Blake is married and has two children.
As a founding member of the FundingUniverse team, Mr. Miskin leads all the product development and technical infrastructure projects at FundingUniverse.
He previously worked at LDS Philanthropies as webmaster and multimedia designer. He has also performed web consulting and design work with several internet startups. Trent studied Computer Science at Brigham Young University.

As Internet Marketer Kendall is directly involved with many of the revenue generating activites at FundingUniverse. He runs the pay per click advertising, creates promotional emails, operates the online affiliate program, optimizes the subscription process, and creates ad-copy consisting of web pages, pamplets, and flash videos.
Kendall graduated at the top of his class from BYU's Marriot School of Management in Information Systems with a 3.96 cumulative GPA. His Information Systems team placed 2nd in the infamous INTEX 2 competition. Kendall currently resides in Provo Utah where he enjoys thinking about work when at home & racing shopping-carts.

Nr. Nerdin is responsible for managing and coordinating FundingUniverse's event activities including LivePitch, SpeedPitch and all of our training sessions. He works closly with all of the local hosts and sponsors in planning these events.
Frank has a background in business analysis. Previous to his position at FundingUniverse. Frank worked as an analyst in a joint venture between a regional economic development center and a Benture Capital fund, as a general business analyst in the auto dealer industry.
In his Venture Capital experience, Frank managed six consulting teams as well as personally consulting clients in areas of fundraising, organizational effectiveness and business sourcing.
Frank earned his Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from BYU-Idaho.
Brett is responsible over the equity side of Funding Universe screening each company that is brought into the Venture Consulting Program along with selecting and training the companies that pitch at the Funding Universe events. Brett is very passionate about entrepreneurship having help multiple companies grow their business and raise capital.
Brett graduated from SUU and a degree in Marketing and Finance and currently resides in Saratoga Springs with his wife Ashley and two year old son Isaac.
Zach leads the sales and execution of the debt financing division of FundingUniverse with the goal of increasing the number of entrepreneurs nationwide that are able to receive debt financing to start or grow their businesses. As an entrepreneur himself, Zach is highly passionate and well-suited to assist entrepreneurs in each stage of the business cycle.
Zach joined FundingUniverse in 2008 analyzing startups prior to introducing them to equity investors. Since joining FundingUniverse, Zach has worked in the areas of sales management, business development, and most recently as Director of Debt Financing.
Zach received his bachelor of science at Brigham Young University in Business Management with an emphasis in finance. Zach enjoys sports, the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and son.
